39.16 - Monofilament of which any cross-sectional dimension exceeds 1 mm, rods, sticks and profile shapes, whether or not surfaceworked but not otherwise worked, of plasbcs. - Of polymers of ethylene 39 16.20 - Of polymers of vinyl chloride 3916.90 - Of other plastics 39 16.10 This heading covers monofilament of which an cross-sectional dimension exceeds 1 mm,rods, sticks, and profile shapes. These are obtaine in the length in a single operation ( enerally extrusion), and they have a constant or repetitive cross-section, fiom one end to t e other. Hollow rofile shapes have a cross-section different fiom that of tubes, pipes and hoses of heading 9.17 (see Note 8 to this Chapter). i E fl The heading also includes such products which have been merely cut to a length exceeding the maximum cross-sectional dimension or surface-worked (polished, matt-finished, etc.), but not otherwise worked. Profile shapes with an adhesive surface, used for sealing window frames, are classified in this heading. Products which have been cut down to the point where the len th does not exceed the maximum cross-sectional dimension, or which have been otherwise worked ( illed, milled, assembled b gluein or sewing, etc.) are excluded from this heading. The are classified as articles in headings 39.lJto 39.28 unless they are m e specilallly covered by some o&er hcadmg in the Nomenclature. For the classification of monofilament, rods, sticks and profile shapes of plastics combined with other materials, see the General Explanatory Note to this Chapter.
1.- Throughout the Nomenclature the expression “plastics” means those materials of headings 39.01 to
